An incredibly deep (and difficult) entry in the Pokémon series, the speedruns for this game involve a lot of math both during and even before a run begins.

Starting off with a very complicated RNG manipulation that takes around 3+ minutes on average to setup, the beginning ends up being very reset heavy due to missing a single frame input at 60FPS. Relying heavily on an optimal stat spread on Espeon, and what is hopefully a “good enough” spread on Quilava, this run is full of constant battles with very little actual consistency and needing to have in depth knowledge to adjust on the fly.
